The General page collects information on global general parameters, budget code management options, and browser access options.

General | - Select Use Reason Menus to have the system offer reasons through the browser or telephone. Use this if you have separate reasons for teachers, administrators, and classified personnel or various locations. You must set up Reason Menus to enable this parameter. If you do not enable this parameter, the system uses a single list of reasons for all users.
- Enter the number of days for the system to wait to find substitutes for open jobs. You can enter up to 365.
- Enter 0 to find substitutes for all jobs regardless of when the job starts.
- Enter 1 to find substitutes the day the job starts.
- Enter 2 to find substitutes the day before the job starts.
- Enter the days a job remains open only for the specified substitute and the time of the day when the job opens for the system to find substitutes. You can enter up to 365.
- Enter 0 to open the job the day the job starts.
- Enter 1 to open the job the day before the job starts.
- Enter the number of minutes before the job starts for the system to stop searching for substitutes. Alternatively, you can select the option to treat this parameter as a percentage of time after the job starts. Enter 0 to indicate the system stops searching when the job starts.
- Indicate if you want the system to use reason sub-allocation as the reason when using allocation from another reason.

Budget Codes | Select the options to configure budget codes: - Include alpha and special characters. Do not select this parameter if you allow users to enter absences/vacancies through the telephone.
- Require verification on all jobs.
- Allow administrators to enter or override budget codes during job creation.
- Enter the character length and labels.

Browser Access | Select the options to configure browser access for users. |
Import Defaults | Choose the options to notify employees and substitutes about employee profile inactivation cancelling future job assignments. |
