Enhanced Learner Visibility with New Account Status Filters

To help section administrators make more informed selections, we’ve enhanced the learner search functionality within Section Roster Bulk Actions. A new "Active/Inactive" status column has been added to the Add Learner and Add Waitlist views.

By default, the search results are pre-filtered to display only active accounts, ensuring a streamlined workflow. However, administrators maintain full flexibility to clear this filter and include inactive users as needed.

This update provides greater visibility into account statuses, preventing the accidental addition of inactive learners to sections or waitlists.

Professional Learning

Smart Auto-Linking for Multi-Year Compliance Prerequisites

To ensure seamless multi-year compliance training, the system now automatically links recurring course instances to their corresponding new prerequisite versions. When both a course and its enforced prerequisite are duplicated during a scheduled job run, the system updates the logic to point to the latest prerequisite instance.

This automation maintains the integrity of training cycles without manual intervention, ensuring learners always meet the correct requirements as the course evolves over time.

Stay on Track with Compliance New PD Playlist Due Dates

Administrators and playlist moderators can now add due dates for PD playlists.
This feature lets administrators set clear deadlines, improving tracking and helping educators stay on schedule with their learning goals. The update also includes notifications sent to participants and administrators when a due date passes or to remind participants about upcoming due dates.

When a due date has passed, users and administrators will be notified if notifications have been configured. Learners will, however, still be able to complete courses after the playlist due date, provided the playlist or courses have not ended.

Enhanced Credit Tracking for Coaching and Mentoring History Logs

To ensure full transparency in credit tracking, we have enhanced the history log for coaching and mentoring requests. The system now preserves the original credit values even if an external request is denied and values are cleared.

This update provides a reliable audit trail, allowing administrators to reference the initial submission details within the history log for improved record-keeping and troubleshooting.

Instant Feedback: Course Denial Reasons Now in Your Inbox

To streamline the course approval process, we’ve updated email notifications to include the specific denial reason directly in the message. Previously, users had to log back into the system to understand why a course was rejected, often leading to support inquiries.

By integrating the `revisionReason` macro into course and section revision emails, we’ve eliminated this extra step. You can now view feedback instantly from your inbox, saving time and reducing the need for manual follow-ups.

Professional Learning

Enhanced Rich Text and Hyperlink Support for Course and Section Forms

PD Admin now supports hyperlinks and HTML instructions in Course and Section forms. Users can embed links within individual fields or overall instructions. The RTE instruction displays an expandable element for viewing additional instructions.

Professional Learning

Customizable Transcript Fallback Text

To provide greater flexibility for transcript displays, PdAdmin now includes a "Not Set Text" field within Transcript Configuration columns.

This feature allows administrators to define custom placeholder text—such as "N/A" or "No Grade"—that automatically appears when a field value is blank or null. By restoring this legacy functionality, you can ensure your transcripts remain clear and professional, even when specific data points are unavailable.

Professional Learning

Real-Time Registration Alerts for Instructors

Instructors now receive real-time notifications whenever a learner registers for their courses. This enhancement, requested by Harris County, ensures instructors stay informed and engaged with student enrollment.

The feature is enabled at the course level and triggers alerts for every section within the course, streamlining communication and improving administrative awareness.

Enhanced Modal Accessibility and Navigation Improvements

We’ve enhanced the accessibility and navigation of the Pre-Observation Conference modal within Program Activities. Users can now dismiss the modal dialog using the Escape (Esc) key or a newly added visible close button. Additionally, focus now correctly returns to the triggering element upon dismissal, ensuring a seamless and compliant keyboard navigation experience across all supported browsers

Seamless Modal Navigation & Accessibility Fix

To ensure a seamless navigation experience for keyboard and assistive technology users, we have refined the behavior of modal dialogs within the Calendar Month View. Previously, pressing the Escape key would close the modal and exit full-screen mode simultaneously, disrupting the user's workflow.

With this update, the Escape key now exclusively closes the modal while maintaining the full-screen state; in accordance with WCAG 2.2, criterion 2.1.1.

This fix applies to the "Connect Calendar," "Credit," and "View Roster" modals, ensuring focus returns correctly to the triggering element without losing context.

Accessible Observation Dashboard: Keyboard & Screen Reader Support Optimized

We’ve enhanced the Observation Dashboard to ensure full keyboard and screen reader accessibility. Users can now navigate all interactive elements using only a keyboard, providing a seamless experience for those who rely on assistive technologies such as VoiceOver and NVDA. This update ensures compliance with accessibility standards across Chrome and Edge, in accordance with WCAG 2.2, criterion 2.1.1

Professional Learning

Improved accessibility for button labels

Screen readers announce clear and distinct labels for the buttons, improving accessibility in accordance with WCAG 2.2, criterion 2.1.1

Professional Learning

Enhanced Keyboard Accessibility for Observation Designer

We’ve enhanced the Observation Designer to ensure full keyboard accessibility across all template configuration tabs, including General Settings, Scoring, and Discussion. In accordance with WCAG 2.2, criterion 2.1.1, users can now navigate and interact with these elements using only a keyboard or screen reader, providing a more inclusive and efficient experience for all administrators.

Professional Learning

Enhanced Screen Reader Support for Staff Evaluation Filters

We’ve enhanced accessibility within the Staff Evaluations module by updating the screen reader behavior for active filters. Previously, the "Cancel" button for applied filters was incorrectly identified only as a "link." Now, using VoiceOver and other assistive technologies, the element is properly announced as a button with a clear, descriptive name.

In accordance with WCAG 2.2, criterion 4.1.2, this ensures users relying on screen readers can easily identify and interact with the option to remove filters, providing a more intuitive and inclusive navigation experience.

Professional Learning

Enhanced Keyboard Accessibility for Staff Evaluations

We’ve enhanced the Staff Evaluations page to ensure a fully accessible experience for all users.

Interactive elements, including the "Message" and "Message All" buttons and pagination controls, now correctly receive keyboard focus.

These improvements, in accordance with WCAG 2.2, criterion 2.1.1, ensure seamless navigation and full functionality when using a keyboard alone, meeting our commitment to comprehensive accessibility standards.

Professional Learning

New Robust Password Policy

A new robust password policy setting has been added. To prevent unauthorized access and brute-force attacks, the system now enforces minimum complexity and length requirements during password creation.

This update ensures that weak passwords can no longer be used, significantly strengthening the protection of user accounts and sensitive data.

Perform Enterprise

Smoother Navigation: Evaluation Menu Layout Fix

We’ve resolved a layout issue where the evaluation menu box overlapped with the page header, resulting in a cleaner, more accessible interface. Based on feedback from schools and districts, the navigation (hamburger) menu icon no longer overlaps with the activity header. This update ensures clearer visibility of page headers and navigation controls, resulting in a cleaner and more consistent interface.

This fix eliminates the visual obstruction on the feedback tab, providing a seamless experience when managing evaluation plans.

Seamless Global Merges: International Character Support Fixed

We’ve resolved a 500 Server Error that occurred when merging accounts with international or extended character sets (UTF-8).

These improvements stabilize the merge process across the platform and prevent request failures caused by non-standard character sets.

Seamless Compliance Course Rollovers

We’ve resolved an issue where compliance course rollovers were failing to copy as configured. This fix ensures that when compliance settings are activated, courses now replicate correctly according to your schedule, maintaining seamless workflow continuity for all districts.
