Manage Downloaded CSVs

Overview

You can now generate and manage CSV exports without any upper limits. This update supports very large datasets and provides a centralized place to track and download all your exports.

Key benefits

  • Export large datasets without errors or performance loss.

  • Access all your CSV downloads from one screen.

  • Retry failed exports or delete files you no longer need.

  • Files are stored securely for 7 days before automatic removal.

To download a CSV, click the download CSV button in the dashboard or within any report. A pop-up notification will confirm that the request has been added to the downloaded queue. Once downloaded, you can access the CSV from My Downloaded CSVs.

Manage downloads

Access is permission-based—only you can view and download your files.

To view and manage your CSV downloads:

  1. Log in to Professional Learning.

  2. Navigate to the dashboard or a report of your choice, and click the download CSV icon. A pop-up confirms the request has been queued.

  3. From the menu, navigate to My Professional Learning and select My Downloaded CSVs. You can view the status of downloaded CSVs here. The status can be:

    • Processing: Your export is being generated, indicated by a timer icon.

    • Complete: Your file is available to download, indicated by a green checkmark. Files marked complete will include the timestamp and date of generation. Since files are automatically purged after 7 calendar days, the list will also indicate the purge date.

    • Error: Your export failed, indicated by a red exclamation icon. Retry or contact your PowerSchool administrator.

  4. To download the CSV, click the ellipsis icon under Action, and select Download CSV. To delete, click Delete CSV. You can only download or delete CSVs that are marked Complete.
