Manage SmartFind Express Integration

If your organization also uses SmartFind Express, set up the integration to:

  • For course creators, add fields to the section creation screens to determine if teachers can request an absence for their course time.
  • For course creators, add fields to the section creation screens to set the budget code and reason code for absence.
  • For teachers, add an option to instantly create an absence at the end of the section registration process.
  • For teachers, pre-populate the absence creation form in SmartFind Express using the section details.

Enable the Integration

  1. Choose Professional Learning from the main menu.
  2. Click Configuration.
  3. Choose SmartFind Express.
  4. Click the toggle to Enable the Smart Find Express Integration.
  5. Enter your organization's SmartFind Express URL.
  6. Click the toggle to Send section start and end dates to SmartFind Express.
  7. Select the course types for which the integration is enabled.

Manage Budget and Reason Codes

The budget and reason codes provided as options for course creators must map to SmartFind Express codes. These are set up using the same process. 

  1. Choose the Budget Codes or Reason Codes tab.
  2. Click Add Code.
  3. Enter the code display name for Professional Learning.
  4. Enter the code key from SmartFind Express.
  5. Click Create.
  6. To reorder codes via drag and drop, click Change Display Order.
