Improvement

District Admin Access Control

Introducing a new District Admin Access Control feature in DIT that gives districts greater visibility and control over user access.

With the DIT User Administration feature, District Administrators can:

  • View all users from their district who have access to DIT.

  • Add new users directly.

  • Deactivate existing users when access is no longer required.

  • Assign or revoke District Admin access for other users.

This enhancement empowers districts to manage their own access, improving security, reducing dependency on Support/Services, and ensuring that user permissions remain accurate and up to date.

To enable this feature for your district, submit a Support case with the details of the designated District Administrator(s).
For step-by-step instructions on how District Administrators can manage users, refer to the Managing Data Import Tool (DIT) User Access chapter.

Enhancements to Person Import: Additional Emails, Secondary Phone, and Admin Rights

Added three fields to the Person Import (Professional Learning) feature to enhance user data management and provide more granular control for site-level administration.

Note: These fields will only be functional after October 5, 2025, following the Professional Learning release.

Added fields are as follows:

For Person Contact:

  • additional_emails – Allows importing a list of secondary email addresses for a user.

    • Note: The secondary delimiter used here must be different from the primary delimiter in the file.

    • Example: If the file uses | (pipe) as the primary delimiter, the list of additional emails should be separated by a , (comma).

  • secondary_phone_number – Allows importing an alternate phone number for the user.

For Administration Rights:

  • adminrights_site_code – Allows you to import a list of site codes that will automatically grant the user administration rights for those sites.

    • The same delimiter rule applies: the secondary delimiter must be different from the primary delimiter used in the file.
