Detailed Import Summary

You can access a detailed summary of your TalentEd import by clicking Download on the Import tab and selecting Download Detailed Log File for a specific job.

Downloading the import summary takes about five minutes, but delays may occur depending on the volume of import.

The Detailed Log File consists of three sections:

1 - Counts

This section specifies the counts of different operations associated with the import:

  • Added: Number of records added in the particular product

  • Modified: Number of records modified in the particular product

  • Deleted: Number of records deactivated in the particular product

  • Unaffected: Number of records not impacted in the particular product

  • Duplicates: Number of duplicates in the import

  • Validation Error: Total number of validation messages thrown by the particular product

2 - Validation Message

This section outlines errors that led to the complete failure of processing a specific row. Complete failure occurs when a record cannot be added or updated in the product. For instance, if an invalid Building ID is provided for a user, the user will not be created or updated. Refer to FAQ & Troubleshooting for different types of validation error messages.

3 - Validation Warning

This section describes errors that caused partial failure when processing a specific row. A record can be added or updated in the product, but the problematic column remains unchanged. For instance, if an incorrectly formatted phone number is provided for a user, the user will be created or updated, but the phone number will not be updated. Refer to FAQ & Troubleshooting for different types of validation warnings.
