Professional Learning and Perform Enterprise
Process
Due to the complexity of Professional Learning and Perform Enterprise import jobs, it is not possible to create new imports yourself. Instead, you must submit a Support ticket to set up a new import. Refer to the Data Dictionary for data import requirements.
After setting up, you can update the import configuration settings:
Log in to the Data Import tool on the US or Canada login page.
Click Configuration.
On the Import Configuration tab, locate the import record under Unified Talent Import Configuration.
Click the Edit (pencil) icon to update import properties.
Click Save.
PLPE Import Settings
Use the following shared settings to configure the import properties for all Professional Learning and Perform Enterprise imports.
Import Setting | Description |
|---|---|
Source Filename | Required setting. The name must be exact; there is no wildcard support. This is the name of the file as it appears in the SFTP folder. |
Date Format | This setting is only used if you use a date token that appends a date to the file name. Select the date format for the date token. |
Delete Source File | Enable this setting if you want the source file from the SFTP folder deleted after the import is run. |
Auto Import | Enable this setting if you want the import job to run automatically at the scheduled time set up in the Sync Environment settings. PowerSchool recommends disabling this setting until files have been manually validated. |
Override Default Email List | Allows you to override the default email list for the import type. |
Override Default Start Time | Allows you to override the default start time for the import type. All times in the Data Import tool are Mountain Time. |
File Check | Enable this setting if you want an additional email out if an import fails to run due to a missing source file. PowerSchool recommends enabling this setting when first setting up an import and testing the SFTP connection. You can disable the setting at a later time. |
Remote Server Configuration | Ensure the remote server is the SFTP server where your file is located. Make sure the source directory matches the location of your file on the SFTP server. |
File Formatting | Choose the delimiter format for your file. |
Import-Specific Configuration | Verify the column header names and add or remove optional columns as needed to match your file. |
