Review Setup of Transfer Credit Request
The Transfer Credit Manager (previously known as External Credit Requests) is a tool designed for teachers to submit requests for the review of professional development (PD) completed outside the district. Developed by the administrative team, these forms enable educators to seek approval for external PD activities to be added to their user transcripts.
One of the key benefits for teachers is the consolidation of all PD records in a single location, which simplifies the process of applying for re-licensure.
Get Started
- Choose Professional Learning from the main menu.
- Choose Manage, then Transfer Credit Approvals.
Approve a Credit Request
- From the In Progress list, click a request Title.
- Select the Credit Area and assign credit value.
- Click Approve.
- Click Submit.
Deny a Credit Request
- From the In Progress list, click a request Title.
- Click Deny.
- Enter a Note. You must provide a reason for denying the request.
- Click Submit.
Return a Request to Pending
- From the Submitted list, click a request Title.
- Click Return to Pending.
- Click Submit.

Set-up Steps
Click New Approval Process.
Select Workflow. You will determine which approval workflow best fits your needs. This is a required step.
No Pre-Approval, 1 Credit Approval: When a requester submits a credit request, it requires one approval to be granted credit.
1 Pre-Approval, 1 Credit Approval: A requester must obtain one approval before submitting a credit request.
2 Pre-Approvals, 1 Credit Approval: A requester must obtain two approvals before submitting a credit request.
Auto Approval: Credit will be issued once the requester submits the credit request. No approvals are necessary.
Request Title: Enter a title for your form, which represents the Credit Request Type a requester will select. Examples include a College Course, a Conference, a Workshop, or an External PD.
Click Next.
Process Details. In the process details, the name of the form will be displayed.
Enter a description or instructions that your user can reference.
Click Next.
Configure your form. To add fields, click Add Field. You can choose between various Field Types.
Select a Field Type, then enter an explanation. Tailor the external credit request form to capture all necessary information from users. Fields may include:
Training Details: Name, date, location, and duration of the external training.
Attachments: Functionality for users to upload supporting documents.
Configure Approval Workflows.
Approval Workflow: Specify who will review and approve the requests (e.g., direct supervisors, professional development coordinators).
Approvers can be identified by site (Site Administrators).
Approvers by pool (You will identify specific users that can approve requests.
