Customize PL Dashboard
The Professional Learning Dashboard is the first thing users see when they click on the Professional Learning tab. The "widgets” visible on the Dashboard can display specific information to all users or select users.
The baseline configuration of the Professional Learning Dashboard contains:
Welcome!
My Surveys
Mobile App for Attendance
My Pending Approvals – visible only to Office Super Users, Office Admin, and Course Approvers.
These widgets can be turned off, edited, or customized as needed.
Task 1: Update the Welcome widget of the Professional Learning Dashboard
Navigate to Professional Learning > Configuration > Dashboard Configuration
Select the eye icon of the “Welcome!” widget to preview the content. Close.
Select the pencil icon
Update the Contents of the Welcome widget message.
Confirm that this widget should “Display to All Users” and leave that setting enabled.
Select “Edit Widget” to save.
Task 2: Enable/Disable other Dashboard Widgets
Navigate to Professional Learning > Configuration > Dashboard Configuration
Toggle the button for each widget on or off as needed.
Task 3: Add a custom Widget to be displayed in the Dashboard
Navigate to Professional Learning > Configuration > Dashboard Configuration
Select “Add Another Rich Text Area”
Enter a Display Name
Update the Contents
Note: To display an image in the Dashboard Widget, you will need to upload the image to a Content Channel. Use the URL generated from that resource to add the image to your Dashboard Widget.
Set if the Widget is displayed to All Users, or select Roles.
Select “Add Widget” to save.
By default, the Widget is not yet enabled. Toggle the button to enable the Widget when ready.
