Approval Notifications

A variety of notifications can be enabled to notify Course/Section Approvers and Course Creators of the progress of the course/section within the approval process. These notifications are used only if Course and/or Section Approval Workflows are enabled. 

If using Course/Section Approval Workflows, the available Approval Notifications include:  

  • Course Approved - Email sent to the submitter when a course is approved. 

  • Course Returned for Revision - Email sent to the course builder when a course is returned for revision. 

  • Course Review Required - Email sent to reviewer(s) when a course review is requested. 

  • Section Approved - Email sent to the submitter when a section is approved. 

  • Section Returned for Revision - Email sent to the section builder when a section is returned for revision. 

  • Section Review Required - Email sent to reviewer(s) when a section review is requested. 

To enable or disable a given Approval Notification, navigate to Professional Learning > Configuration > Approval Notifications (under Course Approval). Toggle the radio button to enable/disable given notification. Select the pencil icon to customize the subject and content of the Approval Notification.

Your system is already configured with Quick Start Smart Choice no action is required.

  • Enable/disable each Approval Notification as needed 

  • Customize the subject and content of each Approval Notification as needed 

 You are now ready to Approve a Course.
