Classification Groups
You can assign classifications to multiple classification groups.
Use classification groups:
- To set up reason menus. Reason menus determine if different types of personnel should be offered different reason codes when reporting absences or vacancies.
- For job inquiries and to produce reports on employees, substitutes, and jobs.
- To complete Substitute profiles.
Classifications groups may or may not represent a hierarchy of classifications:

Add a Classification Group
- From System Configuration, choose Classification Groups.
- Click New.
- Enter the Code and Name, then click Save.
- Click Classifications for the new group on the Classification Group List.
- Click New.
- Choose the Classifications for the group.
- Click Save.
Manage Classification Groups
- From System Configuration, choose Classification Groups.
- Click the Group you want to modify.
- Edit the fields as necessary.
- Click Save.
- Click Delete to remove the group.
Modify or Delete a Classification from a Group
- From System Configuration, choose Classification Groups.
- Click Classifications for the group you want to modify.
- Click New.
- Choose the Classifications, then click Save.
- To remove a classification, select Delete, then click Delete.
