Review Competencies

1. Choose Professional Learning from the main menu.
2. Click Configuration, then Competencies.
3. Click Enable Competency Alignments in Course Creation.
4. Click Add Competency Set.
5. Name the new competency group.
6. Click the plus icon to add a competency to the group.
7. Enter the competency Name, then click Create.
8. Continue to add competencies and sub-competencies as needed.

Changes save automatically.

Companies can be enabled for alignment with course creation. Assessments are for our migrated clients and will not show on the new sites. 

Baseline configuration 

• Enable competency alignment and course creation is turned off  

• A copy of the Danielson and Marzano teacher framework prebuilt into the site 

If your district wants to enable or add competencies for alignment with course creation, please navigate to Professional Learning >

Configuration> Competencies/Assessments. 

Your system is already configured with Quick Start Smart Choice; no action is required.

Configuration checklist

• Turn on Enable competency Alignments in course creation. 

• Choose to have Danielson and a Marzano.

• Delete any competency you do not want by clicking on the trash can. 

  • This action cannot be undone 

• Add any competency you want by clicking the Add Competency Set.

You are now ready to build a Course and a Section.
