Accessibility Improvements for Interactive Controls

Interactive controls, like the "Hide Course" button, lacked a visible keyboard focus indicator, making navigation difficult for keyboard users. We fixed this issue. All interactive elements now display a clear visual focus indicator, improving accessibility for users with visual, physical, or neurological disabilities.

Professional Learning

Updated Contrast for Active User Interface Components

Improved the visibility of focus indicators and interactive elements across key screens by updating color contrast to meet accessibility standards. This accessibility fix ensures users with low vision can more easily identify and navigate important interface components.

Auto-Retry for Schoology Course Backlogs

A new job automatically retries failed Schoology course creations. This addresses issues from system timeouts and backlogs. The system now checks with Schoology to confirm queued courses, ensuring accurate synchronization and up-to-date course information between the professional learning platform and Schoology.

Professional Learning

Updated PDPlaylist Notification Label

The Notifications tab now clearly states that completion emails are sent to moderators and the PD Playlist creator when a participant finishes the PD Playlist. The user-defined playlist label is used for clarity.

Professional Learning

Added help text to staff groups

The staff groups assignment screen now includes updated help text. This text clarifies how the system adds participants, users, or approvers to groups based on the creator's site rights. The guidance adjusts dynamically to the selected functionality, ensuring users understand participant management, dynamic registration, and exclusion priorities.

Enhancements to Instructor Integration in Schoology

An integration error prevents some instructors from appearing in Schoology sections. To address this, a new Integration Status column now displays the sync status for each instructor. It includes clear icons and tooltips for failed integrations.

The user sync retry mechanism now automatically retries failed instructor syncs. For instructors not integrated, delete and re-add them or wait for an automatic retry.

Professional Learning

Download Scorm Attachment

Super Users can download SCORM zip files directly from the SCORM Edit Screen for any course with an attached file. This feature is available in both Legacy and PDAdmin environments.

Professional Learning

Replace Scorm Attachment

A new permission allows users with course editing rights to replace existing SCORM content files. This permission is granted to super users by default and is currently supported only in PdAdmin. SCORM Canada and legacy systems remain unchanged.

Professional Learning

Enable Requirement for File Attachments in Section Settings for Professional Development Requests

Admins can now require file attachments at the section level for professional development requests. To configure, users with permission can navigate to Configuration > Section Settings > File Attachments. Users must upload at least one file before submitting, approving, or releasing a section.

Professional Learning

Updated bulk email actions to respect applied filters

Bulk email actions in the section roster now respect applied filters. When a filter is used, emails are sent only to filtered members, ensuring targeted communication and preventing messages from reaching unintended recipients.

Professional Learning

Update transcript for locked roster records

Administrators can edit transcript credits for locked sections or roster entries, provided they have the correct permissions. Transcript changes automatically update corresponding roster records, ensuring system consistency.
