My courses

From the Professional learning navigation bar, click My professional learning and select My courses.

The My course page allows you to view, filter, and access all active and past courses you have registered for.

My course lists the following tabs:

  • Registered: This tab displays any courses the learner has registered for, with an end date or last class time in the future. If there are no specific section dates or class times, the courses will remain in the Registered tab until completed.

  • Waitlist: This tab displays any courses that the learner is on a waitlist for.

  • Past courses: This tab displays all completed and incomplete courses with an End date in the past.

  • Recommended: This tab displays all recommended courses, both registered and unregistered. The learner is assigned these courses from either Professional Learning or Perform.

  • Required: This tab displays all required courses, registered or not, assigned to the user from Professional Learning or Perform.

Refer to the section titled Configuring My courses for more information on how Administrators can configure the My courses page.

Manage Registered courses

This tab shows all the courses a learner has registered for and can complete. For a course to appear on this tab, the learner must be in the roster for at least one section of that course. Each registered section of a course is displayed as an individual card.

Within the Registered tab, you can:

  • Filter Registered courses by course type

  • Filter Registered courses by roster status

  • Sort Registered courses

The caret icon allows you to expand and collapse each card to reveal or hide information. By default, cards appear collapsed.

In the collapsed view, the card shows the course and section the student is registered for and any upcoming class times.

When expanded, the card displays the ratings, Instructor information, and badges. This view is available only if available and configured for your district.

To access course resources or withdraw from the course, click the ellipsis icon. Options within the ellipsis icon depend on the workflow configured by administrators.

Learners will get a notification when there is a payment due. Refer to Pay for courses for more information.

Administrators can configure Automatic withdrawals, select whether inactive courses must appear, display courses on a teaser, or configure surveys. Refer to the section titled Configure Registered courses for more information.

Manage Waitlisted courses

This tab shows all the courses a learner is on the waitlist for as individual cards.

Within the Waitlist tab, you can:

  • Filter Waitlisted courses by course type

  • Sort Waitlisted courses

Unlike Registered courses, learners cannot be added to the waitlist for self-paced courses.

Learners will get a notification when there is a payment due. Refer to Pay for courses for more information.

When expanded, the card displays the ratings, Instructor information, and badges. This view is available only if available and configured for your district.

To withdraw from a waitlisted course, click the ellipsis icon and select Remove me from Waitlist.

You cannot withdraw from a course where the roster entry is locked or if the section is locked and closed.

Unlike in a Registered course, learners cannot view resources in a waitlisted course.

Administrators can configure filter options for waitlisted courses. Refer to the section titled Configure Waitlist options for more information.

Manage Past courses

This tab shows all unarchived and uncancelled courses where the end date of the last active section is in the past.

Within the Past courses tab, you can:

  • Filter completed courses by course type

  • Filter Registered courses by roster status

  • Sort Registered courses

This tab will display all courses with complete and incomplete sections, with an End date in the past as an individual card. When a section is canceled, they are automatically removed from the My Courses page.

The caret icon allows you to expand and collapse each card to reveal or hide information. By default, cards appear collapsed.

In the collapsed view, the card shows the Next class time, section, course title, course number, and type.

In the expanded view, the card shows course ratings, associated badges, the name of the instructor, and section Start and End dates. This view is available only if available and configured for your district.

To rate a course, learners must complete all the registered sections of the course.

To access course resources or withdraw from the course, click the ellipsis icon. The ellipsis icon will not appear if there are no course-related resources or if you cannot withdraw from a course with a locked roster entry or locked and closed section.

Manage Recommended courses

This tab shows all courses assigned to a learner as recommended, registered and not registered, either from Professional Learning or Perform.

Within the Recommended tab, you can:

  • Filter Recommended courses by course type

  • Sort Recommended courses

Courses recommended for the learner will remain in this tab until all the sections are completed. If there are no recommended courses, this tab will appear blank.

This tab will display all recommended courses as individual cards.

The caret icon displays courses recommended for you alongwith the number of sections and an Unregistered label that indicates you must register to proceed. If you have registered for a section in the Recommended courses, then the number of sections and the Unregistered label will not appear.

To enroll in a recommended course, click the title and then Register. To go back, click Back to My courses. Once registered, the card will not show registration status or sections.

To assign a course as Recommended, refer to Set User Visibility within Build Courses and Sections.

Manage Required courses

This tab shows all courses assigned to a learner as required, registered and not registered, either from Professional Learning or Perform.

Within the Required tab, you can:

  • Filter Required courses by course type

  • Sort Required courses

Like Recommended courses, courses marked as required will remain in this tab until all the sections are completed. If there are no required courses, this tab will appear blank.

This tab will display all required courses as individual cards. To view course details, click the course.

In the collapsed view, the card shows the course type, course number, course title, the number of associated sections, and the registration status. When a learner is not added to a course section or hasn't registered for the course, the card will display Not Registered. The status will disappear once the learner registers for any course section.

To enroll in a required course, click the title and then Register. To go back, click Back to My courses. Once registered, the card will not show registration status or sections.

To assign a course as Required, refer to Set User Visibility within Build Courses and Sections.
