The optional Discussion board provides a space for learners and administrators to collaborate, ask questions, and share insights related to a course. When activated, a Discussion tab is available from the course or PD playlist. Starting v25.9.0.0, users can now access the Discussion Board directly from course and section views in PdAdmin.
Who can access

Access to the Discussion Board is controlled by course permissions.

Learners will see the option only if they are registered, completed, or have pending survey completions.

Administrators can always launch the board from section views.
What they can access

Monitor and interact with threads.

Create new threads.
-
Create new thread topics.
-
Move and archive thread content.

Delete topics and any threads beneath them.
Where to access
You can access a discussion board in the following screens:

My Courses – Registered and Past Courses

Learners can access the Discussion Board using the View Discussion Board link.

This version uses PdAdmin-styled buttons for consistency.

Create a New Thread

Click Create New Thread.

Choose a thread topic.

Enter the required thread content.

Click Post.
Create a New Topic

Click Manage Topics.
-
Click Create New Topic.

Enter the new topic Title.

Click Create.
Manage Thread Content
From Manage Topics, moderators have additional options for managing thread content.

To move threads from one topic to another, click Actions, then choose Move Content. Choose the destination topic, then click Move.

To archive a topic and any threads beneath, click Actions, then choose Archive.

To remove a topic and any threads beneath it, click Actions, then choose Delete. Confirm by clicking Delete again.
