External Data Manager

You can upload data into an external data set so that it can be viewed and used withing an evaluation plan.

To access the External Data Manager page, navigate to Administration > External Data Manager.

    1. Action Menu: Select this option to choose an action for the data set. Options for super users include Manage Dataset and Reset Dataset.
    2. Checkbox: Select the checkbox for any dataset you would like to Archive. Select Archive at the bottom of the table.

    To Unarchive a dataset, select the Archived Datasets tab. Select the checkbox for the desired dataset, then select Unarchive.


    Manage Dataset

      1. Choose File: Select this option to browse your computer files and select the appropriate file.
      2. Comma Delimiter: Select this drop-down to select the file type. Options include Comma and Pipe.
      3. Upload: Select this to upload the selected file.
      4. Dataset is Linked to: Review this section to see which plans and/ or activities this dataset is linked to.
      5. Fields Table: Review the table to see the field title, import column name, data type, and description.

      If the field is mapped to person_primary_ID, a notification will advise you that this field is linked to the employee ID used in your person import.
