Course Dashboards

Course dashboards provide quick access to information on learning opportunities and their instructors/moderators.

Access Course Dashboards

  1. Click the Administration tab.

  2. From the System Administration menu, click Course Dashboards.

  3. From the Learning Opportunity Dashboard:

    1. Select learning opportunities for the dashboard report.

    2. Select the report and criteria.

Select the Learning Opportunities

Select the learning opportunities on which to run the report using the three options provided.

  • Browse Learning Opportunities by Instructor: Select the checkboxes to choose one or more instructors/moderators.
  • Search Learning Opportunities: Search for learning opportunities by a variety of criteria, including title, type, and other course or section information.
  • Saved Learning Opportunity Groups: Select or create a saved learning opportunity group.

Create/Edit a Saved Learning Opportunity Group

  1. Begin in one of three ways.
    • Click Create a New Group from the Saved Learning Opportunity Groups tab to create a new group from scratch.
    • Click Save this Group above the learning opportunity list to create a new group based on the list displayed.
    • Click Edit this Group above the learning opportunity list when an existing group is being displayed.
  2. Enter/update the name and description for the saved group.
  3. If this is a new group, click Save.
  4. Click Add Sections.

    If you clicked Save this Group for a learning opportunities list, those learning opportunities will already be added to the group.

  5. In the Add Section window:
    1. Enter search criteria in the fields provided.
    2. Select columns to include in the results.
    3. If desired, select a column for sorting the results.
    4. Click Search at the bottom of the window.
    5. From the results, select the checkboxes for the desired learning opportunities.
    6. Click Select, then click Finish.
  6. Continue to add or remove sections as necessary.
  7. When done, click Save.

Generate the Report

  1. Determine the report and criteria you want to display for the selected learning opportunities by choosing a report tab.
    • Group Dashboard: Select from the drop-down to view the selected learning opportunities' metrics for attendance and registration, section start dates, and other information.
    • Group Reports: For a survey listed, click a report title to view it.
      • Course Survey Completion - Creates a report that displays survey completion by the user.
      • Course Survey Results - Creates a report that displays survey responses by question.
    • Learning Opportunity Information: Select a title from the learning opportunity list to view the course and section details, roster, and survey activity.
  2. View the resulting report information and metrics.

Download Options

Depending on the report you're viewing, you may have an option to download it for saving or printing.

  • From the Group Dashboard, click Download PDF.
  • From the Group Reports, click the PDF icon or click Download CSV/TSV.
