Perform was updated to the latest version of PowerSchool’s Design System, resulting in the following UI changes:

  • Smaller drop-down menus

    • No colored column header background
    • Lines between rows in tables
    • Darker lines between headings and the data
    • The Sort icon for column headers is more pronounced
  • The old logo was replaced with the Unified Talent Perform logo in the TalentEd Data Import Tool

The Gear icon on the Configuration page was changed from grey to blue.

Improvement

Updated supported browser information

PowerSchool officially ended support for Internet Explorer on January 1, 2020. The login pages were updated to properly communicate supported browser versions, i.e., the two most recent versions of Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.

Forms

Issue

Support for special characters in forms

When assigned forms were aligned to rubric items containing single quotes, the following problems occurred:

  • Rich text fields displayed as plain text
  • Users could not save or submit the form
  • Users could not add scripted notes to the form

Now, the following reserved, special characters are supported within forms: (',",&,<,>).

HR Tools

Issue

Decimal numbers not displayed in Analysis graph

When a calculated field resulted in a decimal number, that number was not displayed as a data point on the resulting Analysis graph. This has been resolved.

LocationsIssueLocation code must be uniqueWhen a user creates a new location, the system now checks that the location code value is unique and does not already exist for the client. When an existing location with a duplicate location code is updated, the update fails, and the user is prompted to provide a unique location code. This new functionality does not impact Sync1/Sync2/Sync9 workflows. Existing duplicate location codes are not impacted unless a record update is performed.

My Folder

Issue

Direct reports cannot see incomplete tasks or expand Task Group folders

Previously, when the service supporting the Perform to Professional Learning integration failed, direct reports could not see their tasks, and task groups could not be expanded. This has been resolved by ensuring that even if the service fails, users can still access their tasks and expand task groups.

My Folder

Issue

Newly added artifacts did not display for the current school year when "Show in Drop-Downs" was not selected

When the checkbox “Show in Drop-Downs” was not selected for the school year, newly added artifacts did not display on the Evidence page. This has been resolved as follows:

  • Added artifacts display under the user's Evidence when the school year is current, or the checkbox “Show in Drop-Downs” is selected in the School Year drop-down list.
  • When the checkbox “Show in Drop-Downs” is not selected in the School Year drop-down list, artifacts for that school year do not display unless the school year the artifact is added in is the current school year.
