Mentee dashboard
The dashboard will include mentee details, such as the mentee's current role and place of work, content area, and assigned mentor's name.
To navigate, click Mentee list and click on a mentee within the Mentees tab. Select the School year to view mentoring information for that school year.
The Mentee dashboard has the following tabs:
Check in logs: You can view transcripts from current and past mentoring sessions.
Support areas: Identifies the areas of support that the mentee has discussed in previous check-ins, along with the total time spent on each area.
Manage Check Ins
You can record and analyze check in transcripts using the inbuilt PowerBuddy AI engine, or log session details manually.
To record and analyze using AI:
On the dashboard, click Record and analyze.
Select Transcript source. Options available are:
Use live audio transcription: Allows you to record a mentoring session as it happens. Ensure you enable your computer’s audio devices to record.
Upload audio file: Allows you to upload a recording of an existing mentoring session. Formats supported are MP3, M4A, WAV, AMR, FLAC, MP4, Ogg, and WebM. Click Upload file.
Click Start transcribing. To pause recording, click Pause transcribing.
To stop the recording, click Stop transcribing.
Click Stop and analyze to use PowerBuddy AI to analyze your transcript. PowerBuddy will begin generating and analyzing your transcript. To exit at any point, click Return to Check in logs to be redirected to the Check in logs screen.
Click Stop transcribing to stop transcribing and view the transcript. You will be redirected to the Check in log screen. While a transcript is still being generated, it will have the Draft label.
On the Check in logs screen, click the transcript you want analyzed using PowerBuddy.
On the review transcript screen, click Analyze meeting to summarize the transcript using PowerBuddy AI.
When the analysis is complete, you will be redirected to the transcript summary screen. To edit the summary, click the edit pencil icon. If needed, make changes to the Action items section.
Click Save.
To manually record details of a mentoring session:
On the dashboard, click Record time manually.
Select the Date using the date picker.
Select Support areas.
Enter Support area notes and Time spent on each support area.
Click Log time.
Manage Check in logs
Transcripts are listed by their check in dates, goals, support areas, mentoring activities, hours coached, last activity, and session-related resources.
When a transcript is being generated, it will be labeled Draft. To analyze a transcript using PowerBuddy, click the respective check in log, and click Analyze meeting.
Manage Support areas
This section summarizes coaching hours across different mentoring categories and allows mentees to review support areas in which they have received coaching.
Mentees can track their coaching sessions under the Support Areas tab, which includes:
Support Area Name – Categories of coaching received (e.g., Planning and Preparation, Learning Environments).
Status – Whether the support area is Active or Inactive.
Hours Coached – The total time spent on mentoring in that category.
