Added District Web Communication on the New Substitute Web

District web communications are now available on the new substitute web application.

  • District web communications (Web Announcement and Web Notifications) can be viewed by the substitutes via the new web interface.
  • Substitutes will need to acknowledge the web notifications before accessing the application.
  • Ability to pin the communications during acknowledgment. Substitutes can Pin or Unpin communications.
  • The recent communications (unseen) will be shown on the pop-up on clicking the message bell icon.
  • New page to view All communications and Pinned communications can be opened by clicking View All Communications within the message bell icon.
  • Communication content can be opened on clicking the subject of the communication.
  • Ability to search communication by using the Search bar. Search is based on the subject of the communication.

Added Remote Job Creation - Hybrid Education

Job creation was enhanced to allow tagging a job as remote, partly remote, or non-remote.

  • New parameter under Parameter > Jobs > Jobs creation: Enable Remote jobs creation. When this parameter is checked, it will become mandatory to include the remote job information in the Jobs (J1) import.
  • Sub-parameter under this main parameter: Add remote job fields to job exports. When this parameter is checked, the current job exports (through Job Inquiry or transaction exports) will have the remote job information fields at the very end of the existing fields.
  • When the Remote job creation feature is selected, it is mandatory to select the Location Type (Non-Remote, Remote, or Partly Remote) during job creation. Employee/Admin will need to specify the Remote login instructions if the job is remote/partly remote, and Days Remote (which days/dates) if the job is partly remote. This feature is available on the web for both Basic and Advanced job creation. This feature is applicable during vacancy creation as well.
  • Similarly on the IVR during job creation, the location type, remote login instructions, and days remote (whichever are applicable) need to be voiced.
  • If the jobs are tagged as remote or partly remote, the substitutes will see associated icons on the job when they view available jobs.
  • When the job plays out on the IVR, it will play the location type and the days remote instructions for a partly remote job. The Remote login instructions are playable when the substitute has accepted the job.
  • On the web and mobile app, Remote Login instructions will be viewable for the substitute on accepting the job. i.e. in the Assignments/Active jobs.
  • Job details view for Admin and Employee have been enhanced to show the location type and associated instructions. The location type and the remote instructions on the job cannot be modified once created.
  • Location Type filter has been added the current filters section in the Web and Mobile app for the substitute to filter the jobs based on location type (Non-remote, Remote, or partly remote)
  • Job creation, Job approval, and other emails will also contain the location type information of the job.
  • Job Import J1 has been enhanced to allow three additional fields at the end. The Location type field is mandatory when the Remote job creation feature is enabled and Days remote and Remote login instructions as mandatory based on the type of Location Type.
  • Location Type filter has been added to the Job Inquiry report.

A tooltip was added to the Access ID conversion tool to explain the tool usage.

The ability to export to excel was added to the General Profile Inquiry page to enable exporting filtered data.

The support for iframe, applet, and script within District Communications was removed to enhance security.

Resolved the issue where the expired date notifications stopped displaying when the expiry date was in the past.

Resolved Issue with Create Same Date/Reason

Resolved the issue where the employee access ID was retained when clicking Create Same date/reason. The employee ID comes as blank after the resolution.

Added Import Format for Optional Comments

New import format P4 was added to allow the import of optional comments for employees and substitutes.

With this import, new comments can be added, existing comments can be appended with new comments, and the option to delete existing comments.

Enhanced Bulk Job Modification

Export to Excel option was added to the Bulk Job modification page. The export will include four additional columns to the display table: Employee Name, Employee Access ID, Substitute Name and Substitute Access ID.

Resolved Issue with Pre-arranging a Substitute via Job Vacancy Import

Resolved the issue where the substitute could not be pre-arranged on a vacancy via an import when the parameter Enable Create absence screen has the substitute accepted radio button change to checkbox selection was checked.

Added Single Sign-on for the Mobile App

Single sign-on was added to the mobile app so substitutes can sign in with the configured Identity Provider.

Only substitutes who have mapped their profile with the Identity Provider will be able to use the SSO login feature.

Resolved the issue where the employee schedule start and end times were being displayed as AM-PM half times.

All profiles are now visible in the SSO Linking report, giving the ability to view who has linked their profile to the Identity Provider and who has not.

Fixed Issues in Job Inquiry Report

Resolved the issue where the data in the CSV output format for the job inquiry report was misaligned (few of the data not inappropriate columns). After the fix, the data shows up in corresponding columns.

Also, resolved the issue where blanks were added on the report generated when clicking Create report.

The message details within System Activity Log for a few parameters were not showing the parameter name that was changed. This was corrected to show the parameter name and old and new value.
