An enhancement has been implemented for school districts using the Substitute Timekeeping feature. The reporting log now supports bulk verification of substitute hours directly from the Timekeeping Reporting Log.

Additional conditions while allowing pre-arranging substitutes on jobs

Two new conditions have been added to help control how administrators and operators assign substitutes to jobs. These are available as optional parameters and are disabled by default. Districts can enable them based on their preferences.

To access the two new parameters:

  1. Navigate to Parameters.

  2. Select Administrator.

  3. Go to the Browser Access section.

  4. Enable the two parameters as per the requirement.

    1. Show error to Admins with job override access when assigning substitutes to job without job classification in the substitute's profile: When this parameters is off, Administrators with job override access in their menu access permissions, can pre-arrange substitutes on the job even when the substitute’s classification does not match with the job’s classification. When this new parameter is enabled, Administrators can be restricted from pre-arranging substitutes of other classifications, even if they have override access. This restriction would not apply to Operators.

    2. Do not allow Admins and Operators with job override access to assign substitutes to jobs without job classification on the substitute profile, with the exception that substitute has classification belonging to same classification group as the job classification: When this new parameter is enabled, Administrators and Operators can pre-arrange substitutes on the job when job classification is in the same classification group as one of the classifications on the substitute’s profile. However, if the job classification and substitute profile classification do not belong to the same classification group, then Admins and Operators would be restricted from pre-arranging substitutes on that job.

Issue

Decline option on the text job offer message restored

An issue has been resolved in SFE version 25.3, where the Decline option was missing from text message job offers when the school district was not using the Decline Reasons feature. For school districts using Decline Reasons, the text message “Decline the job on the web” is displayed in the text job offer.
