Mobile App | Improvement | Employee Mobile App Available in December 2021 | The new employee app for PowerSchool’s Unified Talent products will be available to the employees on App Stores (iOS and Android) named ‘Unified Talent Mobile’ from mid-December (tentatively from 11th December, 2021). It will have SmartFind Express employee features and SFE employees can install and login to the app using the same credentials they do on the SFE website. For each district, there is a unique District Code to login to individual District’s instance, which will be shown on the home page of the SFE employee web (older web) and on the Personal Information screen in the new employee web. |
Calendars | Issue | Issue with New Employee Web Calendar Dates | For certain time-zones, there was an issue with the calendar dates displayed on the calendar within the new employee web. The issue has been fixed, so that dates displayed are accurate for any time-zone. |
Communications | Issue | Communication Page Issue | The message column on the Communication page in the new substitute/employee web has been removed due to an issue while displaying the HTML formatted communications. Click on the message to open a new modal for the user to view. |
Budget Codes | Issue | Budget Code Auto-Population | This release has the fix for the issue when the reason does need manual entry of the budget code and should be fetched from the employee’s profile. So, when users have a budget code defined within Optional Information in their profiles, this will be picked up over the budget code defined for location/classification/reason. |
Create/Edit Job | Issue | Substitute Pay Rate Not Saving | Issue has been fixed where the substitute assignation and pay rate update tasks could be saved at the same time, with the pay rate not getting saved. With this release, both substitute assignation and pay-rate input will save within the same flow. |
Create/Edit Job | Issue | Pre-arranging Substitute Issue | Issue has been fixed when for specific conditions, an employee could not pre-arrange the substitute on the absence during the absence creation. |
Reports | Issue | Reasons by Day of Week Report | For some reasons, the Reasons by Day of the Week report Microsoft Excel values did not match the screen values and some reason code values were showing more counts on the report. This issue has been fixed. |
Create/Edit Job | Issue | Simple/Complicated Schedule | There has been a minor modification done to the way the Schedule option for users will be displayed on the new employee web during Absence creation. The Simple Schedule will be hidden and the first available duration option (out of Full Day, Am Half/PM Half and Customer - based on District settings), will be auto-selection. The complicated schedule has been renamed to Advanced Absence and it is a toggle instead of the earlier check-box. |
Calendars | Issue | New Substitute Web Calendar Issue | Issue has been fixed where the new substitute web calendar would not show the half day jobs for the substitute if the substitute had unavailability for the rest of the day. With the fix, if the substitute has job as well an unavailability on the same day, both the events would be displayed on the calendar date within the new substitute web. |
Job Shopping | Issue | Substitute Users Unable to Cancel Multi-days Jobs | There was an issue within the new substitute web wherein the substitute could cancel future part of a multi-day job, once it was started, with the older version of the substitute web allowed. Substitutes can now cancel the future part of a multi-day job if they have cancellation rights based on District settings. |
Export/Import | Issue | Validation Issue of Phone Number Field | P1 import was allowing wrong format callback number to be imported on the substitute profile. This has been corrected so that only 10 or 11 digit numbers will be allowed within the P1 import phone number fields. |
Create/Edit Job | Issue | Absence Creation | An enhancement has been done where the reason code displays alongside the reason name for the employee when creating an absence on the new employee web. |
Export/Import | Issue | Dual Role Profiles | Issue has been resolved for dual-role employee-substitute users where the substitute classification preferences export will also show the classification on the employee schedule. This has been fixed so that it would show only the substitute role’s classifications. |
API | Improvement | Absence Creation/Cancellation Redirection from Skyward | For the District which are using the Skyward-SFE integration, there is an enhancement where users can enter/cancel leave requests in Skyward, and have the absence creation/cancellation redirection from Skyward to SmartFind Express now supported on the new employee web. |
Reports | Issue | DNU Substitutes Not Printing on Substitute Statistic Report | Issue has been fixed where the DNU substitutes were not printed on the substitute statistic report. |
Export/Import | Issue | Issue with L5 Administration Location Import | L5 Administration Location Import would error out when using Transactional Import. This has been fixed. |
Export/Import | Update | E2 (Employee reason balance update) | For the employee Reason Balance import (E2), the field for Time Unit is mandatory. If Y is passed, the balance is in days, else the balance is in hours. The Import Layout template has example to explain how this works. |
API | Improvement | Banner Update | PowerSchool branding updates are being rolled out to the portfolio of products in December 2021. These changes are for the SFE's new substitute and new employee web. Users can expect to see changes starting 12/10/21. There will be a new gradient background displayed on their top header bar. No functionality will be affected due to this. |
