On the I-9 if “4. A noncitizen (other than Item Numbers 2. and 3. above) authorized to work…” has been selected and a USCIS-A number has been entered, this same number also appeared on “3. A lawful permanent resident,” which could be misleading. This no longer occurs, and a number entered in one area will not default in the other. |

As per USCIS, the expiration dates also accept “N/A” in columns A, B, and C when entering Section 2 Employer Review and Verification information. |
