Impersonate a User
The impersonation feature gives Administrators and Hiring Managers the ability to be logged on as another Administrator or Hiring Manager. Impersonation can be useful in many situations, including:
- Verifying job visibility for a user.
- Verifying which types of applicant searches a user can perform.
- Accessing the non-public saved searches for a user.
A user can impersonate:
- Users within their same User Group.
- Users in other User Groups with privileges less than or equal to those of their own User Group.
A user must have access to the Active Employees page in order to see the impersonation feature.
While impersonating another user, you will see the application just as that user sees it. All features are available to you and can be performed as the person you are impersonating, except for signing eForms (requires user password).
To impersonate another user, follow these steps.
- Select Administration > Active Employees. If you have been given impersonation rights, you will see the impersonate icon next to the employee name.
- Click Impersonate. You will be placed in impersonation mode immediately and redirected to the homepage. At the top of the page, the user you are impersonating is displayed, with the option to end the impersonation mode.
- Click End to return to your own logged-in session and successfully end the impersonation.
